Over the years as an English Lit, Philosophy & Marketing student, I’ve built quite a collection of books. Some I’ve read multiple times, while other books came highly recommended. Some were challenging to read and had to succumb to the DNF list.
But the three books below are quite the opposite and so inspiring. I’ve read them cover to cover, filled them with notes and highlighted key passages, treating them like a bible.
→ Emotion By Design
Gregg Hoffman, former CMO of Nike, shares his marketing insights, strategies, and lessons behind some of Nike’s most iconic and beloved campaigns.
If you’re interested in marketing, you’ll find this book invaluable.
→ How Brands Become Icons
Building strong brands is crucial. This book dives into the impact of branding from industry giants like Heinz, Coca-Cola, and Cadbury.
As a marketer, I love this book because it explores the intersection of brand and culture, teaching you how to create a brand that emotionally resonates with consumers.
→ The Ride of a Lifetime
An incredible business book packed with value and insights!
Robert Iger, CEO of Disney, discusses the challenges he’s faced, his leadership principles, taking risks, the story behind Disney+, and his candid experience of shaping Disney into what it is today.
I couldn’t put this book down—it’s absolutely phenomenal.
Reading books is one of the best ways for me to unwind, learn from industry leaders, become a better marketer and find inspiration to be a better leader.
What book are you currently reading? I’d love to hear your recommendations! 📚
